My Story

Why the BHF?

Once again this year, I’m lacing up my running shoes and taking on the Birmingham Half Marathon for a cause that’s really close to my heart — the British Heart Foundation! 🏃‍♂️❤️

They do amazing work funding research and supporting people living with heart conditions, and I’m proud to be running in memory of someone very special. Kev - my wife Kennedie’s step-dad, he lived with a heart condition for most of his life, but you’d never know it from the way he lived — full of energy, laughter, and love. He was one of life’s good ones, and although he has now sadly passed away, his positivity and spirit are still living on through all that knew him.

So on Sunday 3rd May, I am running for Kev — and for everyone who’s been affected by heart disease. I’ll be giving it everything, I’m sure I’ll have blisters, there’ll definitely be plenty of sweat, and possibly even some more bleeding nips like previous years!

All of that and more to raise as much as I can for the BHF. If you’re able to chip in and support, I’d be over the moon — every donation will help me keep moving, one mile at a time. Let’s do this! 🚀
